We most definitely have been basking in a post birthday twilight around here. The party was success and most of all, the party girl thoroughly enjoyed herself, there were no meltdowns, let-downs or accidents, even good byes ran smoothly; the guests were sufficiently wished an energetic, "Good bye! See you next time!" From the freshly anointed three-year-old. The party was casual, light-hearted and of course, energetic and cake filled, oh, and there were some rainbows in there too...

The party was on a Sunday, so we hosted a light brunch and opened gifts outside because the weather was sunny and warm, hurrah! And thank goodness, because our tiny house does not hold all our friends, so we rely heavily on our yard when entertaining. Below are images of an end of era, my baby is hardly "baby" anymore, so it was quite bittersweet for mama, as I'm sure each birthday will continue to be more so. Three appears to be a lively and exciting time, new adventures abound and we look forward exploring each one together.
With each passing year the love in my heart grows more than I ever thought imaginable; and I am continually awed by the experience of motherhood.
Cheers! Here's to another great year of love and laughs... and lots of imagination!
